Spring 2019 Primary Recruitment Dates: January 11th through January 14th, 2019
Information Preview Sessions: Preview Days are a MANDATORY Component to registering for primary recruitment. You must attend one of the following four dates:
Session A | Tuesday - October 16th (In 1787), 7:30- 8: 30 pm.
Session B | Thursday - October 18th (In 1787), 5-6:30 pm
Session C | Monday - October 29th (In 1787) 7-8:30 pm
Session D | Sunday - November 4th (In Booth Ferris) 1-2:30 pm
Session E | Tuesday - November 13th (In 1787) 9-10:30 pm
*F&M Women who want to participate in Membership Recruitment Week Spring 2018 must complete a Preview Day Session Fall 2017 in order to Register. NOT SURE if you want to consider membership? Attend so you meet the requirement as you continue to decide if you will participate!*
What is Primary Recruitment?
Primary recruitment takes place during the last week of winter break, prior to the start of the spring semester. All sororities within the National Panhellenic Council (NPC) participates in this event. Recruitment is a three-day process in which potential new members are given the opportunity to learn about the five NPC sororities at Franklin & Marshall College and vice versa. Primary recruitment is focused on a value-based recruitment system that emphasizes the process of mutual selection. In order to participate in primary recruitment, a potential new member must meet the requirements listed below, attend one of the scheduled preview session dates, in addition to registering for the event.
Requirements for Primary Recruitment:
*Students who are interested in registering for primary recruitment must be at least a 2nd semester first-year student with at least a 2.5 semester and/or cumulative 2.5 GPA and are not on restrictive probation
1st semester 1st Year F&M Students are not eligible for membership until the completion of one semester. Students must complete four (4) credits at Franklin & Marshall College.
All interested women must register with the F&M Panhellenic Council Registration System prior to the formal membership process.
All interested women must have completed a Preview Day session.
All 1st Year F&M students must have completed all F&M Alcohol.Edu program components.
The time period from bid acceptance to full initiation may not exceed six (6) weeks, and the program must end no later than 14 working days before the final day of classes. A Date of completion must be set and will be on record/reported to the Office of FS Life.
All women who accept membership must complete an NPC MRABA Form. Franklin & Marshall College Requires: Office of FS Life Bid Acceptance Form, Anti-Hazing policy Form, and an Academic Release Form.
